Future of music

Music has progressed for centuries and probably climaxed with the Beethoven and Tchaikovsky club. Then it went weird with all that avante guarde crap. Jazz was cool, swing swung and rock rocked.while folkies ignored everyone else. Then came metal, punk, techno, etc.

Here is the question: Where do we go rom here? In fact is there anywhere new to go at all? We have burned our guitars, kicked the drumkit, slashed the speaker cover and would have trashed the synth but they are too damned expensive to do that. Are we all out of shock? In the absence of a new technology are we now fated to re-arrange the musical furniture for ever? I confess that is exactly what I have done, combined  an old 60's guitar sound with even older compositonal techniques.

How about you, do you see yourself as something completely new or just an improvement on an already existing model?

The Year Album by Harpaxe features 12 instrumentals (January, February etc) on clean electric guitar backed with 12 string, piano, strings, bass & drums. The sound is reminiscent of the Shadows but the mood is much more laid back. Great for chilling.

The Year Album by Harpaxe combines a neo sixties format and sound of clean electric guitar, acoustic 12 string, strings, bass and drums, with the compositional techniques of the great classical composers. A good balance of musical predictability and surprise has been achieved notwithstanding the short running times of between 3 and 4 minutes per track while keeping within a consistent overall framework.
